Following its appointment as the sole UK distributor for Berger wide-format textiles for the soft sign and display markets, CMYUK Digital has launched an innovative and foolproof method for helping users choose compatible materials. A complementary micro-site to the company’s main web presence, makes it a simple four-step process to select printer model, ink formulation, application type and specific requirements, such as levels of fire retardant.

Pakistan: Trade finance coverage benefits textile sector
A trade finance coverage of 110 million euros has been extended to Ibrahim Fibers Limited by four global and local banks so that the company can import new German machinery for manufacturing polyester staple fibres as well as polyester chips.
It has been estimated that the overall polyester manufacturing capacity of the company will be enhanced by 650 tons per day and would reach the level of 1,250 tons per day because of the addition of this new machinery.
The four banks that have extended the credit include MCB Bank, Asian Development Bank, International Finance Corporation and Citibank. These banks have made an announcement that they have concluded the task of trade transaction……. Read More
WINGS now also for Polyamide POY
WINGS, the Oerlikon Barmag winding system with integrated drawing zone, can now also be used for Polyamide Spinning Plants.
Initially, WINGS was launched exclusively for deployment in manufacturing Polyester. Now that the novel concept has replaced virtually all conventional system configurations, the machine can today also be used for polyamide processes with an operation window of between 20 and 150 den final.
WINGS integrates godets and tangle unit into the winder. In addition to increasing productivity and efficiency, this plug & play machine unit, which premiered ar the ITMA 2007 in Munich, guarantees POY producers constantly excellent and even yarn quality.
And less space requirements and savings potentials with regards to operating staff make a valuable contribution towards increasing efficiency. The optimized yarn path ensures even gentler yarn treatment and hence first-class yarn quality.
