ITMA a successful event for Rieter
During the 8-day exhibition Rieter delighted its customers at the ITMA Barcelona with many novelties and highlights. The 4 spinning systems were presented in direct comparison. This enabled exhibition visitors to become familiarized with the advantages of the individual technologies and their respective yarns from the qualitative and economical aspects.
High-ranking visitors such as the winner of the competition “The oldest Rieter spinning machine”, the Swiss Ambassador, the winners of this year’s Rieter Award as well as partners from our main markets were hosted on the Rieter exhibition booth. The sales success experienced during the exhibition served to strengthen Rieter’s perception of how well the machines have been received by customers.

Rieter’s Changzhou plant to meet demands of further development
On December 9th, Rieter will host a ceremony to celebrate the start of construction of the second plant at Changzhou. This opens a new chapter of Rieter’s activities in China. More than 100 distinguished guests from local authorities, association leaders and customers will be invited to attend the groundbreaking ceremony.
Rieter will establish a new plant in Changzhou some four kilometers close to the existing one. The new plant construction aims to support the growing demand for textile machinery and provide Rieter Textile Systems with in-depth technology for Chinese customers, covering all major products: from blowroom to cards, drawframes and combers, as well as ring spinning and rotor spinning machines.
The new plant is planned to further expand facilities up to approx. 60 000 m2 within the next few years. The first phase, around 17 000 m2, will be constructed in 2011 and is expected to begin operation in the 4th quarter of 2011.
Latest technology will be adopted in the new construction, which will ensure the state-of-the-art production and quality for Rieter customers. In addition, extension of customer services is planned in the new area.
With the extension of the Changzhou facility, Rieter is accelerating its pace in China and thus getting closer to Chinese market. It is expected that Chinese customers will certainly benefit from further localized Swiss-quality Rieter products. At the same time, Rieter is very enthusiastic about the prospects of the Chinese textile industry and the new plant demonstrates its commitment to contribute to the industry’s future success.

The evacuated roving are thoroughly opened by applying compressed air current as a medium. This ensures that there is no physical damage to the fibre and bobbin as well.
